TRAFFIC DELAYS
How can you schedule a journey today
With so many hazards to meet on the way –
Double the time that you usually take
To save all the worry for everyone’s sake.
So many roadworks wherever you go,
Accidents happen and traffic is slow –
The police do not think of the length of the queue,
When drivers are desperate to go to the loo.
The natural delayers of ice, fog and snow,
Of flooding, and gales that mightily blow,
A tree on the road, or the cows in the lane,
Enough to drive even a calm one insane.
